Coeur d' Alene, Idaho June 12-15, 2006

We left for Coeur d' Alene, Idaho for four nights to visit my sons and grandchildren.
Stayed at the Blackwell Rv Park. The park was next to the Spokane River. The weather was cool and one day of rain. There was a lumber mill across the river. Geese and some babies came to see us on our last night there. Lake Coeur d' Alene is called one of the world's beautiful lakes by the Encyclopedia Brittanica extends 23 miles to the south and has 109 miles of shoreline. The name Coeur d' Alene is French for "heart of the awl" a name given to the Coeur d' Alene Indians by early French traders because of the natives sharp trading practices. You can go on daily scenic lake cruises, seaplane rides over the lake, parasail rides and many more sporty things to do. There is the Coeur d' Alene Resort Golf course famous for its floating green and is open to the public. A fun place for kids and their family is the Silverwood Theme Park just north of the city. The Coeur d' Alene Resort Hotel next to the lake is a beautiful hotel. My grandchildren were a delight to see. Had a great time shopping in the mall and doing outdoor actitivties with them. Had dinner at Robbie's home and I cooked their favorite sticky chicken, rice and artichokes. Here are some pics of my grandchildren and 2 sons. Kayla age 15-1/2 with Grandma and Jahna 11 with Grandma, Heather 7 with Grandpa Bob and Tina. My daughter-in-law Sally, Kayla and their dog Dilly.
