Yellowstone National Park-June 20-23, 2006

We are staying at Fishing Bridge RV Park in Yellowstone. Lots of scenery going to the park.
The weather was sunny and breezy in the afternoon. There was alot of mosquitoes at the
campsite. The next day we went to Kepler Cascades and Old Faithful Geyser. The geyser
put on a good show for all. Alot of people sitting and waiting for the geyser to rise. We saw the Beehive geyser erupt also. We saw lots of bison and elk in the park. We went to view Canyon Village, grandview point, artist point, inspiration point, brink of lower falls and brink of upper falls. The overlook and the waterfalls are spectacular to view. We drove around and saw Yellowstone Lake and River. Yellowstone became the first national park on March 1, 1872. It has roughly 10,000 geothermal features and more than 300 active geysers including Old Faithful, which regularly erupts in a plume more than 130 feet tall. Its average interval between eruptions is about 92 minutes. An eruption last 1-1/2 - 5 minutes. Yellowstone is home to the largest concentration of free-roaming wildlife, like bison, elk, moose, bears and other animals.
