Colorado Springs, Co. July 1-5, 2006

We stayed at Fountain Creek RV Park in Colo. Springs. My sister lives there so we
were able to sightsee together. We went to Garden of the Gods on Sunday. Beautiful public
park with lots of red rock. There is four-hundred eighty acres. One pic is of two kissing camels, and one is the balancing rock. The next day we went to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in Canon City. The bridge is the world's highest suspension bridge floating 1,053 feet above the rushing Arkansas River. We rode on the incline railway which travels at a 45 degree angle. The world's steepest incline railway is still considered one of the most difficult structures ever built. When stepping off the car you will enjoy the cool spray of the roaring Arkansas River, while whitewater rafters brave the rapids below your feet. We rode on the aerial tram across the Gorge. Gliding more than 1,100 feet above the canyon floor. One day we went to Pike's Peak. Rode on the Cog Railway. Great views going to top.
